Q I'm fairly trim, size 8 and 1.57cm tall, and I love the leggings/skinny pants with a tunic look. But I'm over 50 - how can I wear this look stylishly without looking like I have lost my way and can't accept my age?
A Having the right figure to pull this off is probably more important than being the right age (and it sounds like you are in great shape). We'd advise going for the intellectual Prada-esque librarian look - think textured tights, tweed and a chunky necklace to accessorise. Avoid footless tights (too trendy) and instead go for ribbed tights or chic cigarette pants. Anything too 80s and/or brazenly sexy should also be shunned - no electric-blue pumps or distressed denim. If you choose skinny jeans go for a classic dark wash. Above all though, it's about attitude. Choose something sophisticated and have confidence in it! Do you have a fashion or beauty question?
